Experimental Investigation on Chemical Looping Co‐Gasification of Water Hyacinth and Solid Wastes

Chemical looping gasification (CLG) is a promising method to realize the resource utilization of solid waste. co‐gasification (CLCG) attracts much attention as it can fully utilize synergistic effects between different types fuels improve quality products. The CLCG characteristics water hyacinth and wastes, including straw, polypropylene, sludge, are studied using lean iron ore oxygen carriers (OCs). It shown in results that these wastes have on CLG some extent. addition straw has positive impact gas production H 2 /CO ratio, while introduction polypropylene sludge focuses improving respectively. In addition, optimal mixing ratios waste hyacinth: = 50:50; 25:75; 75:25, with exhibits better performance, terms total yield 1.27 Nm 3 kg −1 ratio 1.76 at 25:75. This implies biomass application prospect.
